Sea Beach Posted January 2, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2009 I did a lil railfanning today and I so happened to be at Church Ave and find 2 trains on the express tracks, one Church bound and the other Queens bound. After those 2 trains departed, more came into the station!! and after that, more!!! I think they were testing them for the future Church Extension. Now lets get the party started! @ Church Ave Bloopers The (Q6) Lives!! @ Bway-Lafayette Station Queens Express?? Queens "The Borough" Express??!! Bonus 160 @ Canal 46 LCD Sign Note: Usually says "To Jamaica/179 St Enjoy
via White Plains Road Posted January 2, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2009 I think the (G)'s @ Church Avenue wasn't test for the extention...I'm sure it might have relying there to head back to Queens. As of the R-46 exterior sign reading "Queens Express".....its a different code the C/R pushes in so you got some that say: F To 179 St/Queens F 6 Av Local F Queens Express or F Jamaica/179 St F 6 Av/63 St Lcl F Queens Bl Exp F To Coney Island F 6 Av Local F Culver Local or F Coney Island F 63 St/6 Av Lcl F Culver Lcl The ones with the "To" have the old code

Amtrak7 Posted January 3, 2009 Share #18 Posted January 3, 2009 Queens Express or Queens Bl Express is misleading, just like Sea Beach Express. runs local east of Continental. runs express east of Continental weekdays only.

SevenEleven Posted January 3, 2009 Share #25 Posted January 3, 2009 Unless I'm going crazy, but the E is express all day during the week days...IDK about late night since I don't be on the E during that time. The is express between Jamaica Van Wyck to Manhattan from 7:30 AM to 7:45 PM. After that, it's only express between 71 Av - Continental all the way to Manhattan. On weekends, its express between 71 Av - Continental unless a G.O. makes the run Queens Blvd LCL.
