Nice catches, there buddy! As for the R160A-1 (Z) trains that you see, that's a put in for Rush Hour service. In the afternoons, the (Z) begins at Broadway Junction running local to Broad Street, Manhattan then begins rush hour service skip stop with (J) to Jamaica Center.

Brilliant shots as always!

1) Why does the (MTA) put SEA BEACH EXP into the (N)'s signs on the R160? Doesn't it technically go Sea Beach Local, rather 4 Avenue Express?

2) What's wrong with 8955?

I think it is because the (N) runs express on 4th Av that they put Sea Beach EXP. The weekend of Plan 4, when (N) trains ran 4th Av Local, but via the Bridge, they had Sea Beach Local. So I think the reading there is determined by whether the (N) is running local or express on 4th Av. During late nights, however, you don't even see Sea Beach Local, because they trade that in for via Whitehall.

Good point, well explained. The same can be said for the (Q), when the (Q) runs via Whitehall, that message is displayed instead of Brighton Local or shall I put it this way.

First for the (N)

(N) to Coney Island

(N) Broadway LCL

(N) via WHITEHALL

Then for the (Q) via Whitehall Street

(Q) to Coney Island

(Q) Broadway LCL

(Q) via Whitehall

You can correct me on this.

They are a set of R-160 on the (N) that reads:

(N) Coney Island

(N) Broadway Lcl

(N) Sea Beach Lcl

IMO it should read

(N) Coney Island

(N) Broadway Lcl or Exp

(N) 4 Av Exp/Sea Bch Lcl

But this should also go for the Nassau Street (J)/(Z) cuz rly i dont understand , they are not REALLY express at all in manhattan, it should be Jamaica Ave Express I believe, mainly express from Marcy to Myrtle followed by Skip Stop~
