SubwayGuy Posted January 13, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 13, 2009 SubwayGuy's laptop turned out to be a cheap POS...shakes fist at HP/Compaq...anyway I need to go find someone who can solder small parts together to make it work again or buy a new one (my hard drive is fine, just the dang thing wont TURN ON anymore, even when it's plugged into the wall)...wish i'd have done something about it when it was under warranty but it's not anymore and it's only gotten worse with time...if anyone knows of any good computer repair shops around NYC particularly Manhattan that would take the thing apart, do some soldering, and put it back together again I'll be happy to investigate, but till then I'll be keeping the post count down... apparently HP/Compaq designed the thing badly and it wears out because they didn't solder it right the first time...but now since it's not under warranty I've got to pay to get it fixed...so need less to say I'm never buying anything from them again...the thing's been nothing but problems since I got it..
