FamousNYLover Posted January 18, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 18, 2009 Where did you catch and what time? Maybe, this might make me feel better because I miss Q32 Vintage Action.
7LineFan Posted January 18, 2009 Share #3 Posted January 18, 2009 Those blue stickers in the back window are a big no-no. And the rear end itself looks wierd. Nice pics though.
tdevon2008 Posted January 18, 2009 Share #4 Posted January 18, 2009 i was just on that bus the other day and it was cool inside. It's like it's more space in side for rush hour and stuff. The seats are smaller thats the only problem i would say about it but other than that it's a cool bus to ride.

Micstromme Posted January 18, 2009 Share #12 Posted January 18, 2009 To be honest, I would prefer to keep the regular artics on the M15 and M15 Limited. That LF Articulate Bus is Really Ugly. Plain and simple.
MTR Admiralty Posted January 18, 2009 Share #13 Posted January 18, 2009 To be honest, I would prefer to keep the regular artics on the M15 and M15 Limited. That LF Articulate Bus is Really Ugly. Plain and simple. Yeah, but, I honestly believe those artics are better than the New Flyers.
trainfan22 Posted January 18, 2009 Share #14 Posted January 18, 2009 Nice pics!! But that looks just like the NABI's that NJT are getting. I wish the MTA would go with new flyer again for artics.
Forest Glen Posted January 19, 2009 Share #15 Posted January 19, 2009 To be honest, I would prefer to keep the regular artics on the M15 and M15 Limited. That LF Articulate Bus is Really Ugly. Plain and simple. I'm the #1 critic of low floor buses but I actually like this model. The interior pwns.
aemoreira81 Posted January 19, 2009 Author Share #16 Posted January 19, 2009 To be honest, I would prefer to keep the regular artics on the M15 and M15 Limited. That LF Articulate Bus is Really Ugly. Plain and simple. However, the ride is very smooth with smoothness that you cannot get from New Flyer (that the distance from front to center and center to rear axles is almost the same; 22'0" and 22'9", respectively, helps greatly). I am impressed with the model. That big front door also allows for potential bidirectional traffic through the front door at stops. However, I would hope that another agency is the launch customer for this model (it is not yet in production); it may end up being Société de transport de Montréal that is the launch customer, which has been interested in LFS artics. The D60LF doesn't ride as smoothly, and the Nova LFS' artic split (probably somewhere along the lines of a 37-25) makes for a smoother ride. Ms61 Posted January 19, 2009 Share #17 Posted January 19, 2009 Well a big change in the NY bus network if that bus is used by the MTA. By the way are the rear doors manually opened like the other NY buses or they are opened by the driver? Oh and by the way why is it like that on the other NY buses? buswizard Posted January 20, 2009 Share #18 Posted January 20, 2009 That's kinda nice, though I would change the following : The number stickers should not be on the windowpane and... The seats should be a little larger. I have to say, The rear A/C of the Volvo B10-M artics of SEPTA looked slightly similar.
armax1980 Posted January 20, 2009 Share #19 Posted January 20, 2009 I would go with the Citaro Artic, the best looking out of the bunch.
TexasDART Posted January 20, 2009 Share #20 Posted January 20, 2009 I would go with the Citaro Artic, the best looking out of the bunch. It is easier on the eyes, and a unique looking bus.

By the way are the rear doors manually opened like the other NY buses or they are opened by the driver?Oh and by the way why is it like that on the other NY buses? They are operated manually, but in a weird way to say the least. This is something that Nova Bus will have to look at rectifying before this model is ready for production. It relies on a sensor at the top of the bus. This is the one thing that I did not like about 0054.
TerrapinStation Posted January 21, 2009 Share #22 Posted January 21, 2009 I'm the #1 critic of low floor buses but I actually like this model. The interior pwns. How can you be the #1 critic of low floor buses and yet still like this low floor bus? That makes no sense. This bus does not break any new ground. aemoreira81 Posted January 23, 2009 Author Share #23 Posted January 23, 2009 I saw and shot the bus again today by 126 Street. The picture should be visible at the beginning of the thread (as I replaced a previous door-side shot with the new one). You can also click here for the picture. Instead of turning left to head downtown, the bus pulled past me right after the shot and into the yard for the day with a problem. Not pictured is another bus enthusiast who was shooting the window side-front before the bus moved.
