Dre Day 0 Posted January 22, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 22, 2009 Just today while heading up to the Bronx I saw some R160 on a flatbed truck waiting to cross the GWB. Sorry I couldnt get any pics because I was driving. The car numbers I've seen were 9312,9313,9314 and the 9315. Also if im not mistakin I think there were 2 cars that had a tarp over them so I couldnt see what it was.

Dre Day 0 Posted January 23, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted January 23, 2009 I dont think they were PA5 cars because whatever was under the tarp look long as the 160 cars so I kinda doubt it
metsfan 2 Posted January 23, 2009 Share #8 Posted January 23, 2009 They are about the same length. Did it look like they had 3 or 4 doors? If it was 3 then it was PA5. THey have been delivering them, and they are the same company, so.... Any chance they were museum stuff? Did you see windows? Trolly pole? - A

metsfan 2 Posted January 23, 2009 Share #10 Posted January 23, 2009 I couldnt see it because of the tarp. OH! That kinda tarp. I was thinking of the easily seen whats beneath from the shapes white shrink wrap. Old PCC cars from newark subway are shrink wrapped. If you look carefully you can see the pole & the windows. Other rail vehicles that i've seen being transported near my town also sometimes have it. - A
MTR Admiralty 4 Posted January 24, 2009 Share #11 Posted January 24, 2009 Hopefully the tarped cars are for PATH!!!!!!!:cry::confused::eek: - A I highly doubt it. The R160 cars are Alstoms meaning they were sent in from Alstom. PA5s are being built by Kawasaki. I don't know why a truck by Alstom would stop at the Kawasaki plant and pick some PA5s up.
