speedyracer90 6 Posted January 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2009 For the first time since early 2008, I've spotted a full R-32 train. I spotted it headed down to the Rockaways when I was on an uptown from Lefferts.

ducman998r 0 Posted January 24, 2009 Share #5 Posted January 24, 2009 yeah.. the entire fleet of r32s from jamaica has made its way to 207 for the A/C I think theres only about a dozen or so r38s left. Give or take. 10 car sets of r32s on the A are going to be frequent. Sucks cuz these cars are really in horrible condition.

MattTrain 3,120 Posted January 25, 2009 Share #11 Posted January 25, 2009 R32 trains don't surprise me that much, it's good that the R32's don't intermix the R38 cars that often anymore.
R32 3348 11 Posted January 25, 2009 Share #12 Posted January 25, 2009 It's because there's hardly any R38 to intermix with nowadays. I think there's only 50 in regular service now. The rest are OOS, awaiting the reef.

I have doubts about the A receiving R160s. The supposed third option order is still a rumour. There are many theories as to which cars will run on the A and C after all the SMEEs retire, some say the R46s will go there, some say the hippos and others believe that they should run R160s. As of now, it's too early for me to agree on any theory, however, I do believe that the R179s will be run on the A and that they will fully replace the R44s in the next decade.
