Maddog Posted January 27, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 27, 2009 Just curious if anyone knows where the cars that were affected by the LIRR derailments back in November went and what timeframe they are on for repair? The two that smacked each other probably have less damage and have been returned to service, but the one that jacknifed across the 4 jamaica tracks probably needs a lot of work. metsfan Posted January 27, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 27, 2009 They are usually sat on sidings out of the way & moved by work vehicle and inspected by FRA and such then repaired.
