Orion and I bumpped into R32 3838 @ Broadway Junction...it was nice meeting you again. So we some R-40S on the and train.....the R-160's dominated the Brighton Line B):tup:...it just brighten up the (Q)'s. Here are the pics: ' Videos: New Lots Avenue (Canarsie Line)! I never knew NYCT was using concrete ties until I saw these pics either. Is there an eventual plan to replace all outdoor wooden ties with concrete ones? Using them underground would likely be problematic due to humidity and temperature issues, it's pretty brutal down there during the summers. So it wouldnt shake @Orion although u can raise the MPs, it wouldnt be so good to rase to high, cuz one photo can end up being 10MB cuz of the MP. B) Thanks Shane...yes Brighton was cold and South Ferry made us deaf...I'll miss the noise once it closes and it well worth it;) I never knew NYCT was using concrete ties until I saw these pics either. Well the I didn't know the was using concrete tiles either, but the Sea Beach and Rockaway Line are using concrete tiles has well. I guess eventually the wooden tiles wil get replaced by the concrete ones nice one, but when u take night/Sun Set shots, you should try to take the picture before the train gets closer to the cam.
