Sat - Jan 31 / Light Rail

Brighton Local

I concluded the entire Light Rail yesterday by riding the northern half between Downtown and Northwestern Phoenix. On my way back, traveling out to Tempe to meet my Sister, this teenage dude thought it was fun to get off at every stop and test the Train Operator to see if the doors would close on him. His family told him several times not to keep running off; Like he listened. Anyways, they exited about 4 stops earlier than me.

Good stuff (Z)!

I love how heavy duty the single mount (vs suspended) catenary is. Reminds me of the stuff you find on a main line high speed route. How does it switch, small gates or something else?
