trainspot12 Posted February 12, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 12, 2009 I took only 1 photo (not that good though) of the Orion NGs (M5 at Columbus Circle). How do you upload to the forums (can you do it by using your phone as well) So far, 3803-3805 and 3889 was spotted. 3803/3805 on the M10, 3804 on the M104 and 3889 on the M5. So why are we getting the NGs from Castleton/Yukon?
B41 Posted February 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 12, 2009 That's exactly what I want to know. Manhattanville has plenty of hybrid buses already.
Q43 Floral Park Posted February 12, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 12, 2009 Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Danger hiptop 4.7; U; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050920) MTA wanted manhattanville to be 100% hybrid for a long time. 3831 and 3833 are supposed to be KB bound. They're putting the 3900s in SI and displacing the buses they jacked up to Manhattan and the Bx.
Fresh Pond Posted February 12, 2009 Share #4 Posted February 12, 2009 Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Danger hiptop 3.4; U; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050920) Wow, they should put some 07's there and move the original hybrids to brooklyn. I love the flipdot display and enjoy the engine sound.
Luis1985 Posted February 12, 2009 Share #5 Posted February 12, 2009 i knew i wasnt buggin when i spotted an orion NG on the M5. i didnt get the number tho. although as far as i know, Staten Island has alot of the new ones. Castleton is getting new Hybrids as well as Yukon. 3965 was spotted on the S53. im guessing some of the new orion VII NG's are being swapped from Castleton to other depots in Manhattan. thats what im guessing. B41 Posted February 12, 2009 Share #7 Posted February 12, 2009 If that's the case, then Manhattanville needs to send some buses back to Yukon and Castleton.

B41 Posted February 13, 2009 Share #10 Posted February 13, 2009 I think 3831 is still at CAS. I rode it on the S78 on Wednesday. If Manhattanville does send buses back, they better not be crappy.

kngmn Posted February 19, 2009 Share #25 Posted February 19, 2009 if Manhattanville depot get new 2009 orion7NG. there is no point keeping the 2004 orion7CNG #6365 - #6423 at manhattanville depot. Manhattanville depot should get new 2009 orion7NG. MV depot will give away #6365 - #6423 to QV depot or Amsterdam depot. if #6365 - #6423 go to Amsterdam depot. they will able to retire #240 - #255 series of orion5
