it was a gigantic tree. it had to be completely cut up and put on 3-4 flat cars. my junior high school classmate and i got stuck on the B train at Beverley Road. she was on her way to school while i was going to have lunch with some friends at penn station. everyone had to get off at that stop and use nearby stations instead. i got separated from my classmate, but ran into a russian woman looking for a way to manhattan. together, we walked all the way to beverly road on the 2 line and took the train to atlantic avenue. there, we transferred to the Q (running on the D). the woman got off at 14th Street-Union Square to meet up with her fiance (it was nice knowing her) while i arrived at herald square almost an hour late. good thing my friends were very patient, but i told them to start without me. when i got back, i saw the tree cut up on 3-4 flat cars and it was huge.

they'll probably do wat they did last time...

Option 1:

(B) trains run on the (D) line from Brighton Beach, via Stillwell Av to DeKalb Av either 4 Ave Local, or 4 Ave Express.

(Q) trains run on the (N) line from Stillwell Av to DeKalb Av either 4 Ave Local, or 4 Ave Express.

(Most likely the (B)(Q) will run via 4 Av Local being that the (D)(N) share the same express track and not cause delays on the (D)(N) lines.)

Option 2:

Suspend entire (B) train service.

Suspend (M) service between Broad St and Bay Parkway on the (D) line.

(Q) trains run on the (D) line from Stillwell Av to DeKalb Av either 4 Ave Local, or 4 Ave Express.

(Most likely the (Q) will run via 4 Av Local being that the (D)(N) share the same express track and not cause delays on the (D)(N) lines.)

I too got caught in this mess. The Q I was on went down 4th Ave making local stops and then the West End making Express Stops to CI. I got off @ Bay Parkway and saw about 2 more Q's heading south and then went on the B82 bus (Nova RTS 8907) to head over to Kings Highway to meet up with a person for lunch. I had a R160 as well and the C/R at 1st put a Q to 57 St via Sea Beach and 4 Ave Exp sign and then changed it to Q to 57 St via Sea Beach and 4 Ave LCL sign and after leaving 36th St put it up as a Q to CI via West End Local and the C/R only put it to announce 9th Ave, 62 St, Bay Parkway, Bay 50th St(A mistake), and Coney Island. The only stop the C/R did not make a manual announcement was @ 62 St. I manage to get recordings of it however the video of the sign on the outside was not that great and the next 2 did not have Q via West End signs (1 had to CI via Sea Beach and 1 had the standard Q sign, both R160's).

Heading back up I was able to get a train on the Brighton however everything was local so I decided to board whatever was going out next and that was a R68 on the Q. I did see that tree in question just north of Church where I saw small pieces of it being put onto a work train that was parked on the N/B express track.

On a side note, while I was waiting for the Q @ Atlantic/Pafific, I did not see a single B Train going down 4th. This was around 11:30-11:50

That wind messed up the Brighton Line big time, when I rode the (B), it was running with the (Q), making all stops from Kings Highway to Prospect Park going to Manhattan.
