Whoa, blue seats, I almost thought the (7) was using a R142, but nah R62A. What's up with that window arrangement on the cab door?

Wow, the train is turning into a NTT. lol. Thanks for posting these up D, I always saw R62A with like 1 or 2 seats that are blue. Not a whole car! I just can't wait for R142A's to hit the (7)<7>.

That looks like something going on with the R-62, most likely they are possibly testing CBTC on a R-62, if that come out... R-62 will be CBTC, if not R-142 will do it...

They are NOT testing CBTC on an R62. I thought this had already been established, that R62s are NOT CBTC capable. This is simply the result of an SMS done on the car.

Some of those colored seats, need to be discriminated against, due to the fact they are of no use to sit on. Some of them just have so much dirt and gunk on them, they can't be cleaned. Just replace them. Sad part is the new seats still have those ridges in them. Why not just flat???

Oh well, just predictions... Well, just modernizing the R-62's, maybe even R-68's if the seats at Coney Island are for R-68's...

R68/R68A's with blue seats: NO:tdown:!!!!!!

is 7 line going to recieve R142A or R188?

i thought they were going to recieve R188. not R142A.

Same thing, really, except for the 20 or so new cars they're gonna get. The R188s are supposed to be conversions of the R142A to become CBTC-capable.

I have to tell you this...

As of right now...

R142s and R188s are the same thing, in essence

The only major difference is that the R188 is fully CBTC-ready. Basically it is just a R142 being CBTC-ready. Nothing big. It's just a contract number. Think of it as surgery of some sort.

#7731 - #7810 is CBTC capable.

not R142A #7211 - #7730 CBTC yet.

i think #7731 - #7810 , #1101 - #1250 ,

should go to 7 line. they can handle CBTC.

all R142A set are not ready to handle CBTC yet.

why is everybody exicted that R142a will go to 7 line.

The (C) already runs to Euclid Avenue and during late nights the Lefferts Blvd Shuttle stops @ Euclid Avenue.....so therefore the (H) isn't coming back!

Are you sure you are posting on the right thread?

We are talking about blue seats on a R62A and here you go with Rockaway service...
