R32 3348 Posted February 19, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 19, 2009 Like emmanuel, I took pics of Shea during its demolition. I took pics on the 5th, 6th, and 13th of February. I'll have more pics of the repaving of the ground after break, now that the stadium is gone. February 5 Some more of the stadium comes down February 6 The view from the Debris February 13 Increased bulldozer activity I'm not the only one who took pics. There's a photographer in this pic at the fence, and a lot of bike riders were on Roosevelt Ave. who kept stopping to take pics of history. Citifield A couple of bonuses (not enough to make another thread) Comments are welcome, enjoy!

Joe Posted February 20, 2009 Share #8 Posted February 20, 2009 I don't care for baseball, but Citi Field looks more like a ballpark than Shea did.

1111 Posted February 21, 2009 Share #14 Posted February 21, 2009 Nice pics~ As nice as Citi Stadium looks, I doubt I'll ever go see the Mets there. I hate that Citi didn't keep the Shea name and the team itself has been disappointing in the last two years.
