Smoot178 Posted February 20, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 20, 2009 Just curious to what kind of subway pics this camera will make, especially underground with no flash. Anyone have any examples I can get hyped up over?
Q25toJamaica Posted February 20, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 20, 2009 I'm borrowing one, here are three pics I took today even though they're aboveground. I have yet to test it underground. I mainly take bus pictures, It's pretty good, very wide range of settings, however the lense it will come with has a maximum aperture of only 3.5 when zoomed out completely. Joe Posted February 21, 2009 Share #5 Posted February 21, 2009 Nikon just released a 35mm f/1.8 DX lens. I'm thinking about buying this for underground 'fanning. My 50mm f/1.8 was always great for underground exposure, but the lens is too long on DX bodies to be "useful".
R44 5278 Posted February 23, 2009 Share #6 Posted February 23, 2009 My father has a D70 and I take all of my image Sepia by using the outside light. Nikons are incredibly proficient at taking outstanding photos with the light and shadows. They've never failed my family since the days of film cameras. Q25toJamaica Posted March 7, 2009 Share #7 Posted March 7, 2009 Here's one I took yesterday, I guess it's sort of underground, it's lower level Queensboro Plaza However, if it looks a bit grainy it's cause I didn't realize I set it to 1600 ISO and I could've done the same shot with less. Pablo M 201 Posted March 8, 2009 Share #8 Posted March 8, 2009 Remember this (and I can't take credit for this), "It is not the camera, it is the person behind the camera." The D60 is really good once you work how to work with it, like all Nikon products. I've been dying to purchase one but I never have the money to get one, especially when there are really good deals for it.
