Yes, I did. I'm sorry - I forgot to say thank you!! But yeah, The Police are great. And those other guys that sing 'I'll stop the world and melt with you' - was it Modern English? That's the only song I remember from them though..

No, I promise, we won't forget about you Andy B) - but seriously, wasn't that Simple Minds? or was it Modern English? speaking of Promise; When in Rome - The Promise. Another great song..

"Dont you forget about me" by simple minds a #1 worldwide pop smash in 1985 used in the Breakfast club movie soundtrack as that film's theme.

I love love this song...I got Run DMC's Greatest Hits album!

Me too.

Off topic. Not trying to be politcally correct. Why cant rap/hip hop and pop music as a whole be 'fun' again without the negative racial, sexist, violent or hateful tone that so common in songs.B)

B/c the producers, artist and fans like the stupid ass racial, sexist, violent and hateful tones in rap/hip-hop music hence why I stopped listening to rap and hip-hop.....if the artist music is clean of sex, violence and other stuff in their lyrics then I'll listen to it!

Exactly. Controversy creates cash is one way of suming up your post.

Edit:

Run-DMC at WrestleMania V.

True. There enough blame to go around for the hateful & violent lyrics from the kids buying it to the parents. However I put most of the blame on the deregulation of the American music industry in which only about 5-6 global record labels control 95% of the pop music industry including Hip Hop.

Also there lack of creavtivy in most of today's music.

FYI. 33rd thanks for posting that cool mini Run DMC concert from Wrestlemania in 1989.
