But yeah, The Police are great. And those other guys that sing 'I'll stop the world and melt with you' - was it Modern English? That's the only song I remember from them though.. Shortline Bus Posted May 1, 2009 Author Share #68 Posted May 1, 2009 I love love this song...I got Run DMC's Greatest Hits album! Me too. Off topic. Not trying to be politcally correct. Why cant rap/hip hop and pop music as a whole be 'fun' again without the negative racial, sexist, violent or hateful tone that so common in songs.B)

Why cant rap/hip hop and pop music as a whole be 'fun' again without the negative racial, sexist, violent or hateful tone that so common in songs.B) B/c the producers, artist and fans like the stupid ass racial, sexist, violent and hateful tones in rap/hip-hop music hence why I stopped listening to rap and hip-hop.....if the artist music is clean of sex, violence and other stuff in their lyrics then I'll listen to it! via White Plains Road Posted May 1, 2009 Share #70 Posted May 1, 2009 Exactly. Controversy creates cash is one way of suming up your post. Shortline Bus Posted May 1, 2009 Author Share #71 Posted May 1, 2009 Exactly. Controversy creates cash is one way of suming up your post. Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouUgP0rUlO8 Run-DMC at WrestleMania V. True. There enough blame to go around for the hateful & violent lyrics from the kids buying it to the parents. However I put most of the blame on the deregulation of the American music industry in which only about 5-6 global record labels control 95% of the pop music industry including Hip Hop. Also there lack of creavtivy in most of today's music. FYI. 33rd thanks for posting that cool mini Run DMC concert from Wrestlemania in 1989.
