Shortline Bus Posted March 9, 2009 Author Share #26 Posted March 9, 2009 There are always problems with the A, since i live in the Rockaways, im basically trapped here unless i get a car. Every weekend there is something, has there been a month where the & ran normally on the weekends? Other than the Christmas Holiday season, it been a while. Plus a big factor for the changes is work at both the WTC and rebuliding the Chambers station(from separte 'fire' 4-5 years ago that destoyed a major signal tower at Chambers/WTC station) MTA officals claim Weekends is only time this so called work could be done. Only advice other than getting a car is on weekends for alternative service is following. 1)Take the LIRR at Far Rock to midtown or Downtown Brooklyn 2)Take the Q113 to/from Jamaica and transfer to the or trains. 3)Take the Q53 at the Cross Bay Bridge enterternce and transfer to other Queens trains like the at Woodhaven & Queens Blvd. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
