I hate a good time at the New Ferry, will miss the old Loop of course. Yes there were FOAMERS! Saw loads. They were taking all the (1) South Ferry Termainal Posters from the 62As , you know the one at each of the cars, be in first five cars... Like 2 of them has over 20 posters. Till a worker told them to stop or T/A police will come down. I got me one, just for a memory. Shot is below of course

How did you get the 'First 5 cars' poster? Didn't the MTA remove them in December?

 

Thanks and no, they stood till the loop got closed, and they are still many of them roaming.

 

As I stated above, foamers were grabbing them all about 2 taking over 20, saw i wanted one, and just took just 1 for me. Even tho a worker had to interfer, but let us take it, but no more..

This is so sad. You want to work for the MTA yet you are stealing MTA property, I'm rather scared as to what you will do once you have employee access to other things.

@Y2Julio ~ Wel.. maybe i should of said it a lil clearly. I saw them taking it, and i thjought it was allowed, as one of the workers just said tehy taken them and i dunno. So just took one so then i took one. and then i didnt kno it was allow. geez, its not like ill do it again. I dont do that anywyays. My bad :(........................

I hope (MTA) could give me that South Ferry poster for my birthday on 30th.

Nice B/O on (MTA) Bus Q72 gave me copy of Vintage Bus Poster. It was on for like two weeks. I still see one of them on Q72!!

I said Thank You with a happy face and a some people on the train was like "What is going on with these teens? Is it like a consipracy act?" C/R saw and told me to put it in my backpack or throw it away... I was lucky, I met a nice C/R, :)!

 

 

Thanks! Did you came in a group with people and what time u came? Also, i wonder if its allowed to take more. Saw a few today lol One day these are work 1,000$ on ebay yeaaaaaaaars from now ^_^b!

I don't know, but it seems like you are not supposed to take down these posters.

True, but the loop is closed anyways. And you know tha (MTA) wont keep all of em, but trash em.. Which i dont find it fair. What ever happen to the (1)(9) version?

I was alone and two faomers were taking poster down as well... I came around 3:00PM-5:00PM...

 

I don't know... A conductor said to me that only to take it down in South Ferry or on the train, he told me to put it in my backpack, even fold it if I cannot put it in or throw it away since I will get caught in other stations...

 

 

 

 

A conductor told me it is fine for that day and fine for Old South Ferry poster not 145th Street though (obvious reason), :(!

 

I saw someone getting caught by another (MTA) employee at 42nd Street so technically it is called 'stealing'... Someone in this forum also took it (but by himself), :)! I got helped by another foamer, :)!

 

I was heading to queens to pick up a family member, and I had mine open all over, except certain areas, and then I went to Bway-Nassua (so i can take the (A) to the (E) for queens) and u know there is a police there so I had it open and closed, cop saw it, didnt care =)!

 

yes there was two weird white guy foamers stealing all of em. BTW i might of been there at (5) myself, did u manage to see a guy with a (4) Brooklyn to Bronx Black T in the station, cuz that was me =]!

Deliberately taking MTA property without permission, no matter what it is, is still called vandalism/robbery.

I hate to say it but I think the R160's would look better in South Ferry. Everything in the station is clean and white and they have these older sort of rusty dark colored cars come in.

 

Anyways, I can't wait to get into that station. That would have been kinda cool to have one of those posters :)

You probably mean R142/R142A's. R160s cannot run into South Ferry.

 

Besides, I frequently see dirty R142/A's... except for today. The two sets I took were squeaky clean and would have looked great in the new station.
