DHayward Posted June 20, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 20, 2007 Well, SubwayFan created the NJT Polls and I figured I should do an MBTA One! If you dont know much about the MBTA you can check out the MBTA homepage. http://www.mbta.com/ for some information. Wikipedia also has good info too. If you want to see pictures, there is so many places on the 'net to find them. Just google image "MBTA" Edit: And so we can get a feel for who likes who, results are public. So be careful you choose the one you want, because others can see!
Harry Posted June 20, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 20, 2007 I chose the Orange Line because of it's roots, history, the el's and it's connections to other regional commuter railroads.
PATCOman Posted June 21, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 21, 2007 http://www.nycsubway.org also has some info about the MBTA. Although I never rode it, I would choose the green line as my favorite, because I think trolley lines are interesting, and it reminds me of the "Subway Surface" lines in Philly. DHayward Posted June 21, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted June 21, 2007 http://www.nycsubway.org also has some info about the MBTA. Although I never rode it, I would choose the green line as my favorite, because I think trolley lines are interesting, and it reminds me of the "Subway Surface" lines in Philly. The Green Line is awesome.. They run several different ways. They have designated tracks above ground in several places. Others they share their tracks with the road. Other places, it runs strictly like a subway. When I ride the Green Line below ground, I always see the old Orange PCC cars. Its awesome. Next time I'll get a picture if I can. PS: The reason I chose the Purple Line is because it runs my two favorite engines.. F40PH and the GP40-MC.
Harry Posted June 21, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 21, 2007 F40PH and the GP40-MC. Those are favorites of mine too. The Amtrak F40PH is mine.
DHayward Posted June 21, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted June 21, 2007 Those are favorites of mine too. The Amtrak F40PH is mine. I like Amtrak's F40PH in its Downeaster Scheme. The original doesn't really interest me.

EE Broadway Local Posted October 16, 2009 Share #9 Posted October 16, 2009 The Blue Line is an interesting line. At Airport Station, the Blue Line switches from third rail to overhead catenary. Its' easter terminal, Wonderland is a neat name.
