KTrainExp Posted March 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2009 Michelle has finally marked openBVE as a complete project. This doesn't mean that openBVE will stop here, but it can certainly be called the BVE alternative. Incase you guys wondered what's the difference between openBVE and the regular BVE, here's only some of what openBVE accomplishes but BVE doesn't. -Exterior Views on trains -Ability to view the surrounding (includes 360 degree views) -Moving objects -and more! I would also like to say that openBVE works on ALL OPERATING SYSTEMS. This means that for those of you who could not play BVE because of Vista, here's your chance! Anyways, enjoy! http://openbve.uuuq.com/en/index.html
Y2Julio Posted March 23, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 23, 2009 I think you missed the biggest difference. OpenBVE's source code is open for free use amongst the community. BVE is closed source, no one by Mackoy has access to the source code.
