Q102 in Roosevelt Island plus a bonus

Queens Surface

Cool pics! I remember back in the early 90's taking those Roosevelt Island red buses for 15 cents. They would drive around the Island, sometimes though it would be faster to walk from the subway station up to the Roosevelt Island bridge that connects to LIC,Queens.

What buses did they use in the 90s?

Goldwater hospital isn't the most fun place. Still, nice pics.

Thanks

Excellent bus pix of the Q-102 on R.I., :(!

Any particular reason you say that? Just wondering...

Anyway, I haven't been on RI for a good while now... looks like much hasn't changed... One day I gotta ride those ole' red buses, and/or the Q102 out there...

Good shots there, man.

The CLF40's(?) arrived in 1994, and before that, it was modified Thomas school buses, and they had sort of a graveyard, filled with Carpenters, and even some old electric mini-buses (all of this was cleared out when the Flyers came, and with th eOrions, the Flyers are probably in that lot).
