Because when your inside one of them, you are on it. Man... I have to say, the BU Elevated is the oldest I've been on.

MTR Admiralty Posted April 2, 2009 Share #36 Posted April 2, 2009 Have you rode on one in revenue service? Heck no. But the question asks, what is the oldest you been on. It doesn't specify whether or not it was in revenue service.
MTR Admiralty Posted April 2, 2009 Share #37 Posted April 2, 2009 I think what the OP meant was in revenue service. I rode on the BU's during the Subway Centennial celebrations. Nice. I wish I had the time for that. And also, they were not in revenue service, are they? They were in service, but that was for special circumstances. MTR Admiralty Posted April 2, 2009 Share #38 Posted April 2, 2009 It was in revenue service. The route was from Astoria Boulevard to Queensboro Plaza. Signed onto the N?
MTR Admiralty Posted April 2, 2009 Share #39 Posted April 2, 2009 Nope. It wasn't signed up as anything. It's not in revenue service. It's just a museum run, for all I know.
MTR Admiralty Posted April 3, 2009 Share #40 Posted April 3, 2009 It was in revenue service. Here's all the proof I need. That's still not revenue service. And it said "EXCURSION SERVICE".

MTR Admiralty Posted April 3, 2009 Share #43 Posted April 3, 2009 Were you there? Believe me, it was a revenue run sponsered by the Transit Museum. MTR, the R30's were withdrawn from service in May 1993. Call it whatever run you like, to me it's not a revenue run. I'm not going to allow this to turn into a flame war. Pressed Steel Posted December 30, 2009 Share #47 Posted December 30, 2009 On the Myrtle Ave El just before they closed the section south of Broadway. They were running wood cars with open sections at the ends very much like the WF cars, but unmodified. They would leak if it rained. On the IRT, Low-V's and 1939 World's Fair cars on the 3rd Ave El in the Bronx.
