It was replaced with the

Siemens P 2000 Light Rail Vehicle

in January 2000 then the

1989 1994 Sumitomo Nippon Sharyo Japan P865 model Light rail vehicle

were all sent back to the

LACMTA Blue Line light rail transit system Los Angeles County Ca

where they still run today circlua @ 2007

the LACMTA Green Line light rail transit system Los Angeles County Ca

now uses exclusevely the

Siemens P 2000 Light Rail Vehicle

usually in ''two pack'' connfigurations

since january 2000

i caught this on 35mm film at marine avenue redondo beach

station on the 1st night of line testing

they were in service at the first month of january 2000

the the LACMTA Gold Line did not start testing until

the summer of 2003 using some of the green line P2oos

the 1989 1994 Sumitomo Nippon Sharyo Japan P865 model Light rail vehicles has never ran on the pasadena gold line as

originally planned back in the 1980s ....

one line the blue line to pasadena was the original plan

I was just about to ask that question myself! What do you think of it? How does it compare with the R160B Siemens propulsion systems (if you're familiar with them?)

Its not totally the same with the Siemens P2000s and the R160Bs. Taking off, doesn't sound the same between the two. Slowing down and coming to a stop, sounds very much similar.

You still have that same sound to me that electric eel out of tune high out of pitch violin sound I like the sounds of the san diego trolley better just go.

The newer the railcar the more operators do not like it at all blue line operators prefer the nippon shayro lrvs over the siemens p 2000s so they tell me when i ask.
