kaback9 Posted March 31, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 31, 2009 Posted in wrong forum by accident so re-posting in correct one: Well today while windy was a still a beautiful day none the less, so I headed out after classes to Browns Yard where nothing was going on, so I headed over to Perth Amboy for a bit before heading back to Browns to meet with Eric K. We waited and listened to the scanner for a bit and decided nothing worth chasing was departing there so we decided to head over to Perth Amboy where I had been earlier. We started off at the station but made are way over to the Raritan swing span where we spent the evening rush. Here are the photos. http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546829 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546831 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546833 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546834 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546836 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546840 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546845 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546851 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546853 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546857 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546932 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546942 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546943 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1547022 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546946 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546949 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546951 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546952 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546954 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546956 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546960 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546964 Enjoy! metsfan Posted March 31, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 31, 2009 Awesome stuff! I like the close up of 4627. That loco seems to have a very low frequency hum to it compared to the other 46's, and better acceleration. I rode in the car next to it a bunch of times in 2007, and it's my favorite alp-46. - A
kaback9 Posted March 31, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted March 31, 2009 Thank You! I love the 46's they look great and are reliable too! 4627 is one of my favorite units in the class along with 4609 and 4626.

metsfan Posted April 2, 2009 Share #8 Posted April 2, 2009 Very cool stuff again ! It's sad, those older geeps look ok from a distance, but they are so far worn out, and if you look closely they don't look healthy either. Will post photos of my recent trip to hoboken soon. - A
