R160A's-(E)(F)(J)(M)(Z)(L)(N)(Q)(W)

The lines that the R160A's are on.

R160B's-(E)(F)(N)(Q)(W)

The lines that the R160B's are on.

both are only on 2 IND lines(1 if you only count the E)while the rest are BMT

lines.

there should be plan for mta nyct subway that:

R160 should go to (A) , (C) line.

kawasaki is almost finish building the R160's.

so i would say.

the next 140 cars of R160b should go to (A) line.

140 cars will replace R40slant on (A) line.

(A) line have capability to become CBTC.

or you would perfer that jamaica give up it R32 or R42.

send all of them to pitkin /207 street yard.

R32/ R42 will replace R40slant.

then where would 140cars of R160b will go to which line.?

give it to (A) or (N) , (Q).

if 140cars R160B go to (N). (N) line would give up it R68

and send them (A) line.

I heard that a lower powered R160 is in process of being made for the (A) to run on that line. This might be a part of the second option R160 cars by Kawasaki (but can't get other details yet).

Awesome pics, if the (A)'s were getting these, i would cry for joy. Theyll probably give em all to Lefferts though...Bastads.

They always have these though on the GO track near Broad Channel.

Guys, where's the evidence that the R160As are going to the A? I mean it would be great to have them replace the R32s, but please don't foam about these info. Besides, the E and F have yet to fill their spots with R160s. There is more of a chance that the A would get the R179s than the R160As.

(A) line have capability to become CBTC.

The A will not become CBTC until the R44s and R46s are all off the system. And the R160Bs are definitely not going on the A since the Q will need them to bump off the remaining R68As for the G. CBTC on the A is almost impossible now that the A is used for the cars designated to be retired.

That's what I thought, but I never said anything, or else people would think I'm stalking or something.

Holy Jesus Christ, aren't you kngmn? What's your next handle? Alstom4?

Okay, judging from the datasheet that I edit, Kawasaki should finish earlier than Alstom. Alstom is not even halfway there (close, but no cigar). And I have NO idea where you get those numbers from. Who knows? Maybe we won't use those numbers... it's up to RTO. Please give us information that has fact and proof behind it, not just any speculation, because then it ignites all sorts of problems.

That's just rubbish. The current Rockaway line is using an outdated third rail source from that of LIRR since 1957. That's why there's trouble with phase gaps along the route.

That and maybe R160 (A)s in the future?

There's already an automatic announcement in the announcements listing regarding transferring to the (A) to get to JFK which is intended to be played only if on a Lefferts-bound train. It's last in the list, I didn't listen to it yet because the trains I were on today were in service (don't want to confuse the intelligentsia ridership).
