Trainspotter 0 Posted October 25, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 25, 2007 MTA: State money won't affect fare increase The head of the MTA yesterday poked holes at the suggestion that the state would be able to make up enough money to stave off a transit fare increase. More than 45 legislators and several civic groups signed onto a letter yesterday pleading with Metropolitan Transportation Authority CEO Elliot Sander to hold off on a fare hike until Albany votes on a budget.
