Trainspotter Posted October 26, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 26, 2007 Straphangers: M needs improvement The M Line joined its track-mates in receiving a paltry C- grade in the latest rider report card. Earlier this month, the J/Z Lines received the exact same grade from straphangers in the survey by the New York City Transit Authority. NJTransitFan Posted October 26, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 26, 2007 This is one line that hasn't been discussed much on this forum.
Dedos Posted October 26, 2007 Share #3 Posted October 26, 2007 I used to use the J/M/Z very much to get to Ridgewood/Bushwick. I don't know what they are like now ever since I moved out to the Island.
sebbieprops Posted October 27, 2007 Share #4 Posted October 27, 2007 I don't think I've been on it more than five or six times. From my experience, it seems like a fairly efficient line.
Pelham Bay Dave Posted October 27, 2007 Share #5 Posted October 27, 2007 Well I work on the J/M/Z Lines wkdays and the C Line Wkends. Not much to say about the J/M/Z not much happens and not much ridership. I am starting to think the M service between Broad St and Bay Pkwy is a waste No one rides the train. Phil D. Posted November 9, 2007 Share #6 Posted November 9, 2007 I take the M and L every single day, and I can say the M gets pretty packed during rush hour going to Met. But I agree with the above post. No one rides the train when it is extended to Bay Parkway. But other then that, The line is very reliable and nothing happens on it and you don't hear about sevice disruptions. Even B1 on the Mikey is always clear, except when RCC is asking for a radio check every damn minute in the morning. I'm always happy with M service but once in a while you'll get a late train. INDman Posted November 9, 2007 Share #8 Posted November 9, 2007 I have only been on the full line once and on the full (J/Z) line twice. I like those lines, but what was really nice was the on the Sea Beach last Spring. The usually empties out at 36th st as most people get on the even though the can take them most of the way. Ya know, I believe the M was more crowded when it Made Sea Beach Stops as opposed to West End Stops.... Hint, hint.. lol..
