Port Authority wants you to pay more

(New York - WABC, Oct. 31, 2007) - Commuters get ready to dig deeper into your wallet. The Port Authority is looking to hike Hudson River tolls by $2 to $3. And PATH fares are headed higher too.

Eyewitness News reporter Lisa Colagrossi is live in Fort Lee with the latest.

Imagine paying $8.00 to use the George Washington Bridge. That's what's going to happen if the Port Authority has it's way. They are looking at sweeping hikes for PATH trains and Hudson River crossings.

Thankfully, I'm not going to be affected by the potential fare hike, since I very rarely ride the PATH trains.

Same here but for $2 I should be able to travel at least 25 miles or more on it. You just can't do that with the PATH. It seems like all the transit agencies are trying to increase their fares at the same time.

It's like they all call each other, "lets do it now, now!".
