metsfan Posted May 11, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 11, 2009 Very cool stuff!  What was batman doing exactly? Is 502 having lights and railings and couplers reworked or what? What will happen to the current switchie? Which loco was the misbehaving one that had to be fetched and brought back to 30th? Nice coverage of all 3 (NJT) rail ops types! - A

What will happen to the current switchie? Which loco was the misbehaving one that had to be fetched and brought back to 30th? Nice coverage of all 3 (NJT) rail ops types! - A NJ Transit GP40PH-2B 4215 had broken down or the HEP went bad. I don't know exactly. so NJ Transit P40DC #4803 had to push the 4 car :ac: train and NJ Transit GP40PH-2B #4215. Here are my photos. http://erickreszl.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1597958 http://erickreszl.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1597959 http://erickreszl.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1597959 http://erickreszl.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1597957 http://erickreszl.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1598013 Also on my way back from Hoboken the other day I took a photo of my old friend NJ Transit SW1500 #502 as I passed through NJ Transit's MMC. http://erickreszl.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1593186 Please note that my photo of NJ Transit 502 was taken from inside the train with permission from the NJ Transit Conductor that was on my train. kaback9 Posted May 11, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted May 11, 2009 Thanks A! 4215 did lose HEP Eric. 4215 had blown it just before departure time at AC so 4803 which was sitting down there as AC/ACES protect power, so it was called up to pinch hit. kaback9 Posted May 11, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted May 11, 2009 The real question is will 502 keep its paint or will it be given the new scheme? I like the black, but if they kept it and added a lighting stripe like the MP20's have that would look really neat!

The one thing I don't want to happen to NJ Transit #502 is to end up in the NJ Transit River Line paint scheme. Eric

I like the black, but if they kept it and added a lighting stripe like the MP20's have that would look really neat! I say all new paint, sandblast, prime, (NJT) grey with MP20 style "lightning" orange line with the black on top. New rails, LED lights, new radiator shroud. Or they could go totally crazy, and paint it PRR deep green with gold pinstriping, and keystone PRR moniker outlined in gold with tuscan red fill. They could also simply keep it black, but it really needs some new paint. - A
