Novabus 5000 Posted May 14, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 14, 2009 Found This Article about recycling buses. Article below Photo. Gershow Recycling recently acquired 131 New York City public buses following a successful bid. Following preparation to remove the vehicles of fuel and other liquids, the buses are then cut and shredded, separating the recyclable materials from the non-recyclable materials, so that they can be used again, rather than sitting in municipal landfills, helping to preserve the environment and precious natural resources. MTR Admiralty Posted May 14, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 14, 2009 That makes sense, it's usually cheaper to use old parts to build new equipment.
7LineFan Posted May 14, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 14, 2009 At least they're going to a good cause. Still, it's sad to see an old bus like that.
