error46146 Posted May 17, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 17, 2009 Watch this video I took 2 weeks ago closely. If you look at the last 2 cars of that train, it's an R42 and a R40M in the same set. Just thought i'd like to share that since it is kinda unusual lol
FlushingExpress Posted May 17, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 17, 2009 you caught the R40M/42 pair, which consists of R40M #4460 and R42 #4665. their were paired together because their mates were destroyed in the 1995 Williamsburg Bridge. that is only mixed pair in the entire system. larsmars223 Posted May 17, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 17, 2009 Thats really cool because I saw this set just yesterday on the at 42nd Street. It was really lucky that I saw that because it is possibly a once in a lifetime, because that set is so rare.

R32 3348 Posted May 18, 2009 Share #6 Posted May 18, 2009 Lol, it's not once-in-a-lifetime rare...I've been taking the subway for three years and I've seen it at least 10-20 times...
