Dre Day Posted May 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2009 The reason for this post is to let you know that I think Amtrak could be sitting on a gold mine and dont even know it. Im talking about building a service to the poconos. Talks have been about NJT taking the service but there is one thing i dont get. NJT is not a intercity passenger rail service. It can only make one stop outside of its state. If Amtrak were to take this service and build trackage up to the Delaware water gap and continue upstate or what may have you this would be a big money maker. I think it might be as big as the NEC.
