Multi-levels on the NJCL

Hello Everyone,

 

 

I was stopped by a NJT commuter train. It had 6 multi-level cars in the consist. I read in the paper the other day that NJ Transit Multi-level cars are now in Revenue service on the North Jersey Coast Line.

Great news I should be around the NJCL next weekend. I'll be looking out for them.

I personally have not heard anything regarding how many are on the NJCL at this time. From what I have seen in the past few days they are only running the multi-level cars on the rush hour trains and the consist I saw today had a ALP-46 pulling the train with 6 multi-level cars.

Wow, so the MLs have made it over to the NJCL. Very cool. I'll be keeping an eye out for them whenever I'm around the railroad.

The 3:48 PM NJCL train from NYP is usually a Multilevel set. It also turns and runs back to NYP (from Long Branch) as a revenue train, but I am not sure of which train # it is.

thats good news to hear.....hoepfully they will re-construct the NJCL Rush Hour Schedules so they can run on the express trains as well.....with the current schedule...the multi-levels(or should I say the train itself) won't fair well with the way the schedule is now
