A: You should receive an Admission Card in the mail about 10 days before the date of the test. If you do not receive an Admission Card at least 4 days before the test date, you must go to the Examining Service Section, 1 Centre Street, 14th floor, New York, NY, to obtain a duplicate card. Q: I've taken the exam but I haven't received my list number, what's going on? Did the MTA forget about me? A: No. It takes a year for the MTA to finalize the answers and establish the hiring list. Once the list has been established, you will receive a letter with your score and list number. Q: How long do I have to wait to get called so I can work with the MTA? A: It depends on various factors including but not limited to: your list number, the current demand for new employees and if there is a hiring freeze or not. I dunno wats that. yes first time for working, at least till i get a temporary job during summer/fall.. No. The list number only indicates your positing in the hiring list. Yes, you should get a job and not count on waiting the MTA. It takes years to get called.

Locomotion69 Posted August 27, 2009 Share #11 Posted August 27, 2009 Heydoes anyone know about the Mabstoa/MTA cleaner / helper position?. What are the qualifications for this title. Thanks Armax1980 is a Bus Maintainer on here so he would know, dug up one of his posts from last year. A regular cleaner can only do cleaning jobs, a cleaner maintainer's helper get to do extra things that regular cleaners are not allowed to. Such as working the fuel line, parts pick-up, radiator wash, topping off windshield washer fluid, taking deliverys from water trucks, supplies and etc.... The current top pay for a cleaner is about $22-23 and $24 for a helper. Normally, both cleaner and cleaner helper get the same pay. The only exception is when a cleaner helper does helper work in which he or she will get an extra $1.27/hr or $1.77 for the fuel line.
