That's why it is closing down, as soon as AKR is built (whenever that is, like they're aren't even any signs that the new station will be built, only that there's word of it going around). Far Rock Depot Posted June 7, 2009 Share #53 Posted June 7, 2009 What? The Rockaway Park branch is in worse condition, shouldn't that get rehabilitated first? doubt it would. The MTA also puts into account how often the stations are used. The Far Rock sees more passenger flow. The rock park, except for 10 peak trains weekdays, is a shuttle line. Beach 105th st alone is the least used in the city. some stops on the Rock park have similar work zones set up like on the FAr rock, but no signs are placed mentioning rehab. the Far rock does Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
