SoSpectacular Posted October 22, 2009 Share #26 Posted October 22, 2009 Queens Surface.. That's the line I grew up watching besides the (NYCT) buses... They had good service I guess, and they didn't beat up their buses like Triboro Coach did *cough*Orion V CNG's*cough*
ragazzapazza1024 Posted November 8, 2009 Share #27 Posted November 8, 2009 I liked the Triboro, since I am right by the Q39. But when they went on strike, the service went downhill.

LandoftheLost Posted November 9, 2009 Share #29 Posted November 9, 2009 and me again , i had grew up with taking New York Bus Service. New York Bus Service was popular in the 1990's. children have fun or enjoyed taking New York Bus Service i meant school bus. the bus drvier was freindly to children. New York Bus Service must of sent their school bus to Atlantic Express when New York Bus Service became Eastchester Depot and controlled by Bus
Green Lines 96 Posted June 19, 2011 Share #30 Posted June 19, 2011 My favorite was Command, mostly for their comfortable RTS CNG suburbans. New York Bus Service also had an excellent maintenance record and was able to keep the fishbowls in service until the very end. I also liked Triboro for the sole fact that no single bus seemed to have one complete paint scheme. They used to mix and match panels from buses with different versions of their livery (the old one was just a simple red stripe, the new scheme had the "lightning bolt" red and silver) and sometimes, they would leave panels unpainted with gray primer showing. Green Bus Lines was by far the worst, maintenance-wise. They also had one of the oldest fleets of buses, a good portion of which consisted of 1985-1986 GMC RTSs that were way past their prime. Before takeover Green Lines had also some 1979 GMC RTS's.

gtNovaBusRTS9369 Posted June 26, 2011 Share #33 Posted June 26, 2011 Green Lines was my main favorite. Before I moved their (Q9) was my home bus. I know their buses were weak but they did bring good memories to my transit part of my life. My second favorite was Jamaica. I occasionally rode their (Q112) (as an alternative) to destinations I needed to go. I also remember once taking the (Q110) with my grandpa. Such memories. error46146 Posted June 26, 2011 Share #34 Posted June 26, 2011 More like limping along...... Say no to drugs and alcohol, error..... They still fly down Flatbush at night....... Sad part is those buses look better than most of Green Lines or Triboro's buses did....... come on lol nothing like a nice dose of cng to make everything all better the 7200's (ex-triboro buses) still sound and ride great years after triboro is gone
