thats 40 hours a week with no OT and your pension and retiree health benefit deductions. it'll be less if you do 401(k) and other stuff. you get paid $30.0375/hr, even in training

 

 

so early november? my last day of schoolcar is nov 21st!!! i hope it gets delayed for some reason so i get to pick. i'll be senior to 470 train operators by then (actually around 500 since i'm pretty high in my current class too). if the B division is really hurting for T/Os there should be some leftover jobs, even if they suck

According to the folks at 180 , there is no need to provide ANY info on our driving license, the position of train operator is a "non - driving position", this is what I was told by 180 when I questioned the section on driving record,apparently the 21 page app is a general ap that is ALSO givin to bus operator and other driving positions within transit

What are the computers that are lined up to the left of the reception desk @ 180 used for, I noticed some guys that were doing their final medical were using them,,,, just curious

Took the d.t this am( got there @7 out by 10:30, FYI was told by personnel that next class is 5/20

No need for DMV abstract since its a non- driving position... That's what they told me when I called

Thanks for all the replies, for the initial appt. @ 180 Livingston it suggest a business casual attire, is there any need for a suit and tie, would appreciate hearing from those that have gone before

Move forward and study hard, I'm also a driver waiting to be called(low 800s) You can ALWAYS get a job driving providing you keep a clean driving record but a chance to have a career with transit , as a t/o doesn't come around to often. Best of luck!

I changed my address a couple of months ago, I went downtown personally and informed them, I figured I would eliminate any problems , a few days later I got a letter in the mail at my new address confirming they got it right.
