Yes, nerves can affect your EKG results .... but do you want to guess wrong? Heart disease is very real. Closed arteries, very real. Wouldn't you rather have another opinion and/or get a cardiac stress test to know where you stand? Suppose you really have a problem? Don't play doctor and don't listen to anyone else but a doctor. That would be plain stupidity.
P.S. - I was placed on medical hold too, on 5/11 and I will see my doctor tomorrow. I was not the least bit nervous (nervous for what ???) and will be interested to see why the EKG deviated. I value my health & life over anything.

I went for my 2nd medical on 5/10; I was placed on medical hold for an abnormal EKG. Wow. Not scared, just glad they noticed something that might otherwise have gone undetected. I have to see my doctor to undergo further cardiac testing, routine for such situations. I'm not worried that I will not be hired (everything else was perfect) but most what is most important is that I find out what is going on with my ticker, lol. What is meant to be will be , yes? Until then .......

Can someone please share some specifics regarding training: Are there multiple locations where it takes place or one specific location? What is the time schedule ( eg. 7-3, 8-4, or 9-5 ?). Also, how long is the training?
Thank you.

The MAC doctors are not there to guess. If they assumed the abnormal EKG results were from nerves and passed someone through and then, that individual proceeded to have a heart attack behind the controls of a passenger train, that would be a disaster. Any "real" physician? Not sure what that means but leave the medical diagnosis to the professionals.
