I've been on this forum over a year my brother introduced me to it we also took the exam together this thread & the school car helped me out tremendously gave me allot of info, answered questions as officially as Thursday I got the probationary removed from my name the year flew by especially when I started pounding the road. Guys it's out there for you, you just gotta want it & take it with everything it's what you put in GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE

  3. @mrcka, congrats!!!! I start YX tomorrow. How was the road practical? Everyone pass in your group?

All 10 of us still together practical was easy your just doing station stops with him there he has individual papers with everyone's name & he's grading you on everything about your operation

  4. @Mikeems1 I totally agree with you it's all about what you put in your instructors can be a major point but you still gotta put in what you need & more my induction was in August I had my wtf moment but you gotta persevere anything worth while has to have sacrifice in it I stayed the course my whole class did & all 10 of us are still together starting road ops tonight if you want go get it

  5. Do you have Ms Murray as your TSS?

Yes I did they took her away from us last week we had our signal test this week this was our last week with our other TSS too because after next week we go yard posting then yx If you have her don't be intimidated just listen & absorb

  6. Anyone had miss Murray as there tss?

I had Ms Murray she is very tuff but fair she's very good & knowledgeable listen to her our class started as 10 were still 10 now with other classes having lost people absorb what she says she'll tell you she's going to show you how to be a train operator not just pass a test

  7. Stressful past few days I passed my signal exam & practical today it was allot of built up pressure but the test was easy all you have to do take in everything they tell you read & study make index cards to study it all has paid off so far for me next week I have my final yard practical then after next week I'll be on my own yard posting then yx. Don't waste time guys time starts flying FAST!

  8. cool, good to know..i never thought during training it would be swing shifts.now i know what to look forward to..oh joy smh ..i guess its a good thing to get use to the bizarre hours

What it is certain classes & training are around pm times it's what's convenient for the instructors today is fire school evacuation training so it's pm that part in the yard I never seen open early

  9. They drill allot of info into you and that's still just half there's more to read then they take you on that piece of equipment get you familiar with it to cuts n adds yard inspection n road movement good news to those still waiting there gonna be calling people in @ least till the end of the year so there's @ least 3 more classes to fill

  10. Hey what's up @tprashad0719 glad to hear you got your foot in they normally call you back between 30-90 days the classes have been close to 30 days apart they have 1 for the end of Sept & Oct don't slack on all that paperwork cause you don't wanna be pressed to fill them out when you get notice......good luck

As for the other people waiting the TSS told us there short people cause of people retiring, leaving & getting promoted they also had hiring freeze for a year & half before which made then short that's why there hiring so much so there's still allot of hope for many
