    Well the verdict is in and I'm out! At least, for now anyway, on a medical hold until I can see my Dr.

    Unfortunately for me that won't be until first week in Jan. The Good news is there's still a Jan.30 class on the table but, at this point i'm saying whatever. An unexplainable discrepancy in one of my exams so doc. needs more clearance. Never had as much as a broken nose but this is a federally regulated position so everything must fit perfectly. A Long day with a somewhat frustrating end. Truthfully, I wasn't too keen about starting on Monday anyway but, wasn't going to chance it. However, the decision was made for me so it's back to waiting. The MTA Dr. doesn't think it's a big deal but, the timing is bad depending on how I look at it. If I can continue I'll get back on but for now, I've lost too much sleep over this already so, in the meantime, I'm just going relax over the holidays and what will be will be. Good luck to those still in the game and maybe I'll see you in Jan. Peace!

    Finally, I'M IN, DAMN!

     

    I just received my email to come in for final processing on Tuesday for the Dec.26 class. However, I'm hoping to postpone this until Jan. 30 because It's really last minute and I'd like to tie up some loose ends on my current job. Plus, this is a real life changer so, I'd like to "defrag" a bit before embarking on this new career. But, if not, I'm just thankful I was called. As of last week this class was not full so, that's a big reason I was processed so quickly. Thanks to Superman465, Ladyrockstar, mikeemms1, and all the real people on here chronicling their process it was a big help. Boy, I'll tell ya, the MTA administrative processing is horrible. They are completely overwhelmed by the applicant pool. After being skipped Twice and giving them all my information they still typed my name wrong..LOL... I can laugh about it now but it wasn't funny a few months back. I'll update this after tuesday especially for ladyrockstar because if they allow me to wait until January that might open up a sit for you! Good Luck to all

    Congrats great news if they don't let you start in january I suggest you make that jump and go for it. I did 20 years at fedex and currently 8 years as a doorman and I am not looking back full steam ahead lol. Difficult decision are a part of life never second guess yourself good luck hope to see you on the rails one day.

    There will always be a wait, so many "variables" between any of us getting that final call. Its frustrating but all we can do is wait. So far, that January class has been confirmed. So I'm hoping I can at least have a spot in that one.

    There's a December class also correct?

    Reading one of your posts and another post.. Am I to understand it's a wait after the second visit AND a wait after that "Being in the process of TO..

     

    Like you I don't have too much time left that I put in for for this leave.. I have to adjust at work asap if it's gonna run hot and cold like this..

    I hear you my leave started mon but my boss said I don't have to begin the leave until the mta calls. My leave ends March 5 so even if I can get a month I'll be ok with that.

    After reading the last couple pages I was sure I was gonna be looking a Feb. 2017

     

    -One thing I could say is that my paperwork was in order.. I paid $135.00 at the Social Security office to get a print out of all my jobs. Just to make it mistake free.. As well as gave them a copy of it as well.

     

    Why they sent me the same paperwork that I turned in the first time is beyond me but, I have 3 Copies of all of it..

    I'm never filling that stuff out again without my own personal copies.

    Congrats!! keep us in the loop and I will be doing the same.

    My question is are we definitely in even after a second call for drug testing or will the mta call off the hiring and it ends there?

    ok, I have to go on Wednesday. Quick question, are they making you submit paperwork all over again? I just want to know what to expect. Were you there all day?

    Yes the same forms they sent you must be filled out. The sooner you get there the earlier you can leave.

    Good luck superman465. I'm don't get how they are doing this. It doesn't seem to have and order whatsoever. I've restored my name and still no call. The DCAS automated service # is saying 7951 last eligible appointed. I'm back on an outstanding certification again after they initially took me off. I wonder will i get a letter on a sat. or next week before the holiday. This would be the second time I was skipped if I don't hear something soon.

    Well good luck hopefully everything will workout and I agree the way mta does things is crazy you just don't know what to expect.

    Ok, fingers crossed. My list number is 8431. I took my drug test on August 31. Last update I received, a lot of people have been asking to be restored, that's why the numbers are not moving so fast anymore.

    They are still hiring for the November class so good luck!

    Oh ok this will be my second visit I will keep you updated
