Went to p/e today list #18xx, reached over there at 6:15am got out 12:45pm. Was number 3 on the line. Word of advice, unless you like waiting, get there EARLY! From the moment you go upstairs, and is given your number your waiting Atleast 2 1/2 hours - 3 hours before your name is called. All mta employees are taken first. When your called they ask for your id, social security, and passport or birth certificate, and diploma. Then they go over your paperwork to make sure there’s no gaps in employment history, and everything is filled out properly. Then they hand over paperwork and you head over to take the piss test. Word of advice make sure you use the bathroom before going into the room to take the urine test if you really gotta go, cause once you walk thru those doors you can’t leave. And your waiting a lengthy time to get called again. Good luck everyone....

I was 4 lol. We were talking on line ... I was about 6 people after u in the lab and I got out of there at 2:00. Alot of ppl were waiting to go into the lab as I was leaving and I think that they still might be there. Get there EARLY!

Yea they are. But word up here. They saying that a lot of T/O’s are going to be retiring while the L train is out of service so they wanna get as many in and trained now before they lose a mass number of operators. Which is perfect but i have a feeling soon as the L shut down they gonna freeze the hiring  process for T/O’s for a while. Mainly because they already gotta relocate a large number of L line operators plus the new ones they bringing down.

So get in! get in now! Me on the other hand i’ll be making all that overtime from the L shuttles that us B/O’s can’t wait for lmao. It’s gonna be epic everyone up here already talking about 150k plus the first year.

Nah won’t see me on the 4th go! Get that job and don’t forget to come back and share your experience with everyone! Good luck!

I'm excited bro! With my list number I was anticipating another year wait but I ain't complaining. Alot of good money to be made. Let's get it!

West Farms is one of the money depots for sure.

The depots that you can work at as an OA employee is everything in Manhattan, The Bronx (except Eastchester and Yonkers) and Brooklyn (except Spring Creek). When you pass the 10 day and it's time for your class to pick, you will be given a list of what depots are open and how many slots for each. You may be able to pick because there are spots or you may not because you're the last guy in your class and you're getting forced somewhere. Regardless of where you land up, operators generally have the ability to change depots during the yearly system pick that goes into effect in January. If there's space at Gleason when its your time to pick, you can go there. If there's no space for you, then try again next year.

Trust, the lines being straight is about fantastic as Manhattan gets. Add the traffic and bikes into the mix.

Do we have a pick of AM or PM shift?

I'm 64x for this one. Congrats and good luck on Monday. My advice from going down there before would be... Make sure to have everything that's on that paper. Also make sure to know all of your employment information dating back 10 years. Last time I went there I saw alot of people stuck on that part of the paper work process

Thanks for the advice. I recently misplaced my social security card (ive requested another) but I have everything else. Will this delay my processing? I understood the email to say that you will need the documents eventually and should begin gathering them now.
