  1. Just applied to AC.  Last year I got accepted to the S&D Test for Loco Engineer and I failed. I know I got the 100% on the Aspects but the definitions is where I knew I lost it. I have a much greater foundation and know what is expected of me on this test. I saw the ACs take the S&D test. Are the passing requirements the same as engineers? I am going to study as if 100% and 100% are required, but I was so disheartened after failing the first time I have a bit of hesitation. It is a job I have wanted for a while now and am doing my best to prepare myself and put myself in a position to succeed. I dont want to know the requirements to be lazy, but to be prepared. I plan on busting my ass to work hard for this position.

The 12 was for the phase 1 final. Not the signals test. You took it last saturday, so you're just over a week. I wouldn't worry yet, even if a couple guys did get the call. stay positive. It's a tough wait bc of the zero tolerance on the aspects, i know.

That gives me hope because I NAILED the Aspects 100%.  I focused so much on them because of that.

  3. I also took the test Saturday.  Nailed the Aspects portion definitely 100%   I got about 75% of the definitions/indications easily, the other 25% I struggled with pretty heavily but I think I did enough to possibly pass.  Anxiously awaiting a result.   Does anyone know if they let you know Pass OR Fail, or do they just email those who pass?

  4. Got my Signal Aspects down REAL solid, the indications and definitions I am about 50% with about 2 weeks left but I am feeling pretty good, been reading writing and rewriting and rewriting.  Flash cards for indications and signals have been unreal in terms of usefulness.  The longer definitions I have just been writing them and reading them and having my wife quiz me.   It has been tough and I am nervous but every day I progress and learn a little more and a little more.
