I was wondering something i see alot of people on here say the drug test is only good for 30 days. I also remember reading thats for conductors. And track is 90. Would they call you in for medical after 30 days and have you do medical and. Drug test that day?

No. That's not how the HR Department works. Even when I was processed for Bus Operator back in late 2013/early 2014, I was never in the operator's seat of an MTA Bus until Day 1. Same thing goes for Conductors, Train Operators, etc.
If there was a field test, it would be called a "practical skills test" which would have been mentioned on the Notice of Examination. A sample of that can be seen here. And here is the link for the Notice of Examination for 3600.
Thats what the called it when they called me today. Practical skill test. What are they guna make me do?

in Transit Employment

Congrats to those of you who have been hired off 8600 and those of you who will be. I was hired off 3600 a few years ago. Just want to say hardest part of this job is getting past the hiring process. They will find anything to turn you away. Dont give up. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Other wise once you are hired. If you dont mind working nights you got a ok paying job. Anyone seen their mini pick yet? Welcome to track ill see yall in the Hole. Pause
