    I like that idea. Just too much traffic in Midtown. That's why it became the M10/M20.

    and for canarsie, the b60 is an absolutely horrible route; having people transfer between those two would take forever.

    I agree that the B60 is horrible, but there's nothing you can do with it as it is a "network coverage" route. You can't put a LIMITED or SBS on the route because it doesn't meet the headway guidelines and the Rockaway Avenue and Wilson Avenue corridors are narrow.

    Because the B80 SBS would have free transfers to the B43 and B48 in Greenpoint, the B44 (Local and SBS), B46, B47 and B60 in Williamsburg, the B69 in Clinton Hill, and the B37, B41, B61 and B63 in Downtown Brooklyn.

    Plus it would take less time for a Sheepshead Bay customer to take the (B) or (Q) to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and transfer to the B80 SBS than to pull a (B) or (Q) --> (R) --> (G) --> (E) --> Q47/Q70 SBS. Not to mention Canarsie customers having the zig-zag of (L) --> (J)(Z) --> (E) --> Q47/Q70SBS when they can relax via the B60 --> B80 SBS.

  4. I'll add this. Brooklyn needs another route to JFK (say from the Marine Park area) to compliment the B15, and a new Downtown Brooklyn to LaGuardia SBS route.

    The (G) to Court Square, transfer to the (E) to Jackson Heights to transfer to either the Q70 LaGuardia Link or Q47 would be too much for Brooklyn customers that could use a B80 SBS that would go non-stop in Queens across the Kosciuscko Bridge and connect with many Brooklyn North-South routes and Subway lines directly.

    It was a dumb idea. I say restore the M10 to where the South Terminal is Abingdon Square, and extend the M20 North to West 96th Street - Central Park West. Then put Artics on the M10 at 5 minute headways at Peak Hours, 6 minute headways at Middays and Weekends, and 8 minute headways during Evenings, while Standard Sized buses run on the M20 every 6 minutes at Peak Hours and every 10 minutes during Middays, Evenings and Weekends.

    Times Square is an inappropriate terminal for the M104. Send it back to the UN, and restore the 3 to 4 minute headways throughout the day.

  6. The B8 can't have a LIMITED because the roads are too narrow along 18th Avenue, Avenue D, and Newkirk Avenue. Just leave the route alone for network coverage purposes.

    While the (A) and (C) trains are there along Fulton Street, the B25 needs a service increase - say 5 minute headways during Peak Hours, 6 minute headways during Middays and on Saturdays, 7 minute headways on Sundays, and 8 to 12 minute headways during Evenings. What distinguishes the (A) and (C) trains from the B25 is the B25 services Dumbo and Cadman Plaza.

  7. Q77 does not need to go into JFK Airport at all. Just extend to 147th Avenue and increase the Hours of Operation to where it runs between 5 AM and 1 AM Daily (7 Days a Week).

    What about the Q27 extension though? I propose it goes to Rosedale via Francis Lewis Blvd - which would be a better idea than extending the Q111 to Green Acres Mall. Also the Q27 needs such an extension since there's SBS considerations for that route.

    And lets talk Subway line extensions. You know if the (F) was extended to Queens Village (and the (J) was extended to Queens Village/Glen Oaks [my proposal]), the Q3 and Q17 routes would consolidate into a Q3 Flushing to JFK line and the Q76 and Q77 routes would consolidate into a Q76 College Point to Springfield Gardens line both eliminating service to Downtown Jamaica. A Southeast Queens Subway line would restructure the Q4, Q7 and Q84 routes as new Crosstown links along with a new Foch Blvd line created. I doubt the (E) would extend to Laurelton because LIRR patrons want their fast trip to Midtown (in 35 minutes) and Laurelton/Rosedale/Springfield Gardens residents would NIMBY such a proposal (perhaps in favor of the (A) to Rosedale extended from Lefferts Blvd via Rockaway Blvd and the Belt Parkway and the (Z) to Rosedale via Merrick Blvd) leaving the (E) extension (as it is built that way) as a Guy R. Brewer Blvd Subway line (to terminate at 137th Avenue, and allowing a transfer to the (A) via the South exit from 144th Avenue to the Conduit at the Guy R. Brewer Blvd - Farmers Blvd Station). I think the extension of the (Z) is much more preferred than the Q5 SBS (since it will mirror the B82 SBS as a Weekday Only service), while along Guy R. Brewer Blvd, only the Q113 and Q114 routes will receive SBS treatments as those lines are Jamaica to Far Rockaway.
