  1. I did the pre employment on 3/15/2023 and haven’t heard from them for my medical as of today.

My question is if I just found out that the MTA sent my unpaid tolls to collection will that affect my process? I’m trying to pay the 3 violations I have in collection now. Also they were not in collection before the pre employment.

Currently in pre-employment and it's taking HOURS!. Make sure y'all eat something before going cause I didn't and I'm starving 🥲

Good luck and best wishes to everyone...

Dude I follow your advice and couldn’t even eat my snacks since no one was eating in the waiting area to give your application and once in the lab eating area no eating is allow. What a day man I end up leaving around 2:30 pm 🤦🏽😡

I was there yesterday  went in at 6:30 got out at 10:30

Dude you got blessed some new hires  got there around 7-8 am and they were backed up with other workers taking random test and guess who will be push to a later test time? The new hires of course. I got out around 2 something and was one of the first ones at 6:30 am

  4. Today was the day to start my Pre Employment and not the experience I was going for. First of all the way they bring you in and not tell you what will happen next is not professional. You think by now with all the money and tech they are getting. There would be a better system for new hires and current workers. If you go please please eat before and after you give your application. By the time they get to you for the urine sample might be close to 3-4 pm. Depending what time you got to go in the building. Once you are in the waiting area to give your sample you can not leave or eat anything. I had my snacks but couldn’t eat. The worse is that the techs get an attitude for other ppls impatience and they take it on all of us. Now the waiting game continues and let’s see how long it takes me to get a call to go in again

Mta recently called me for pre employment. They are asking for Successful completion of a drug/alcohol laboratory examination. What is that and where do I go get one?

I’m in the same boat man I’m thinking of going down there to find out all the things I need to fill out

  6. Got the email today for pre employment #38** and I’m reading all the papers I have to fill out.

I have 2 questions, the first one is do they call the employer that fired me? if I got my first vaccine on 2021 and thinking of getting the second one this week. Will I have an issue getting hired? I’m not fully vaccinated right now and my appointment is 3/15

Yea those positions are a little different to get in with the mta I believe those are interviewed/referenced kind of deals to get in to

Okay. I just want to have an idea if I missed the letter after moving so many times since 2019. I called this number (646) 376-0123 and got service request number and they will follow up in 3-5 weeks with an answer. Thank you for your reply.

  8. This question is not about the topic but would like some information for those that are current MTA employees.
I applied to a Track Worker position in Staten Island back in 2019. Now i login and see that the status change to Passed PreScreening. What’s the next step for an applicant after the pre screening? I haven’t received a letter or email about this position. TYIA

Yes they do check.  Make sure you’re honest about everything. Articulate yourself well on the additional sheets about the situation and you’ll be okay.

Just a general statement for everyone who’s interested in the job. Always stay clean. Two people in my class during training got randoms their first month and it’s a lottery for everyone. This isn’t a moving title but it is very dangerous so the MTA cares about safety in that regard.  It becomes a moving title if you bid and get a Chauffeur or Crane job so you need a clean driving record for those I think. Stay safe everyone!
