Hey I’ve been seeing and hearing that if you have any pending traffic tickets they must be dealt with meaning that most people will have to plead guilty to them in order to be considered for the job. Is this true even if you have 1 ticket or is it if you have a certain amount? Also if they do tell you that you must deal with the tickect do you get sent back to the waiting list? I really want to know before I get called for drug screening and the remaining pre employement process. And one more question if you do plead guilty how much points on your license is too much points to be considered for the position?

Yes plead guilty pay the fine and you don’t have to worry about points because you don’t need a Driver License for the title. Do it now so when they do call u there will be no delays.. good luck to you guys 💪🏾

If I remember, when I was called if I didnt want to accept, they was a way to defer. I dont remember how but i think I was able to defer by phone or online. Your allowed 2 or 3 deferments. I was taken off the list to be called and to get back on I had to go to the DCAS office. That was easy. I had to write a 2 sentence letter there to request to be put back on the list. I was called right away. The DCAS office is behind City Hall at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge

I just recently got hired for Track Worker but i am also on the Train operator list upper 14xx i was told if i do the train operator training and don’t pass the class i would not be able to go back to my track worker position because i did not past one year probation? Anyone have any information? I’m thinking I should defer until i get that one year under my belt i would hate to lose both jobs if I did not pass Train Operator class. Any suggestions are welcome

Well it’s supposed to be 25 people for the may 3rd class and then June 7th class not sure how many but probably another 25 a lot of people have either declined the position or not qualified. Just a heads up if you have any medical issues that might require your doctor to say your all good to work try to get it done soon or after you find out the medical date because I see a lot of ppl fail the medical and then u get put on hold but that doesn’t mean they will hold a spot for u.

So there only two options for the commutation pass? ( I’m assuming this is for our riding pass?  )LIR AND metro north? What happened to regular transit? I don’t ever take LIR OR METRO north. Does this mean we still have to pay to ride the subway after being hired?

I think it’s automatically free on nyc transit and you have the option to either have LIRR or Metro North. One or the other added to your free nyc transit pass (subway & buses) that’s what was explained to me from the train operator class

Kevin said they were hiring 50 for this class the day I went I saw the sign in for track worker list numbers was from 70-130s so they went through about 60 ppl for 1 day .. I also saw ppl get turned away because of points and pending tickets and a lot of people missed the first email because it went to junk mail.

So you can get disqualified for points? I understand the pending tickets because i had to plead guilty n pay my pending tickets, how much points for them to disqualify you? also thought this job doesn’t require a driver’s license?

  9. I got the same email conditional offer the problem is my day for medical is April 28 with the class starting may 3 I would like to get a resignation letter to my employer by the 18th which would give them 2 weeks notice but at the bottom of the Conditional Offer Letter it says did not resign from your current job... any suggestions?

I went in yesterday and it also took just under 3 hours because there were a lot of employees coming in to get tested and it seemed like they were getting priority over the pre-employmnent people but that wasn’t the case, they are very unorganized and there was one person taking samples for over 40 people waiting and people coming in. The paper work portion of the process was very fast but the second step took over 2 hours of waiting. All in all i didn’t mind the wait sure they could’ve been more organized but I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for so long now that waiting 3 hours is really nothing and of course there were people complaining but that didn’t help the situation.

Yeaa exactly I didn’t want to pass blame around but they were disorganized they had randoms which I understand get priority but i had 2 people with later appointments get through before me when I was there before them oh well no biggie
