First week you’re at the school after that u bounce around in the yards. U will come back to the school every now and then for testing and stuff but after that first week you are all over the place. As far as parking goes I’ve never had an issue just arrive an hour early and u will find something. Might not be close to the yard but you will find something.
Thanks

Sorry for so many questions but just a few more. Lol. How long will be going to ps48? Is it throughout the whole training or just the first few weeks. Also are there parking garages, if so would you by any chance know the prices? Is it about $20 a day and do they get packed? Like if I get there at a certain time is there a chance they ran out of space?

Yes it is normal just write everything you wrote before on your pre-employment application
Do we choose any boot we’d like? Or does it have to be a certain one?

Has anyone who was recently hired been able to order their boots from saf-gard? I haven’t been added to their system, and no one has been answering the phones today probably because of how busy they are. Any suggestions?
I am trying to order mine now. What’s the bsc#?

The pay is biweekly, and you can get the bag almost everyone buys which is the kaka bag of Amazon they have straps that can be tucked away when crossing the train tracks in yards.
Is any kaka bag ok? Bc they have a few different ones when I search on Amazon.

You can try contacting/hiring a civil service lawyer to fight the decision, other than that there's no chance of you getting hired. Sorry if that sounded harsh...
Can this happen to any applicant or just those who are already civil service members?

Hello, This might be a stupid question but I just received a email for the pre-employment application. Do I fill the 1st page out via the link stating if I’m interested, with the rest of the application filled also and send it back to the email or do I just print and fill out the whole application and take it with me in person on the day I’m required to come for processing?
I received my canvass and completed it and emailed it back and just received an email that I must bring it in with me, when they give me a scheduled date. Do you already have a scheduled date to come in?

Hello everyone, received the canvass email, today. List # 25xx (low). I know it’s only the first step and nothing is set yet but I’m so excited.

Hello everyone, for those already working. I see previous messages stating they need people to fill in the empty positions. Do you think they’ll reach to the 2500’s? How big are the classes? Just wondering 😩😩😩

So I cleared my medical hold today and they told me august 30th class is full and that I have to wait till the week of sept 6 to have my name restored to the certification for future hiring .
What’s the first two digits of your list # if you don’t mind me asking?

Same here. My due date to send the email back was last Wednesday. My experience as a CR is drug test is next then they call you back for the medical but that was all pre covid. Wanted to get a timeframe as well when they will be calling for the drug test.
Hey, what’s the first 2 digits of your list #? If you don’t mind me asking.

There's no way that number is updated. I know they're up to the low 2000's for sure
Wonder how soon it’ll take, for my number to be called.

Hello everyone, I’m new here and I’ve been reading a few of the past threads. Just wondering if anyone knows what list number they’re up to. I did email the employment center and Ms. Vargas who replied a few weeks ago and stated they are up 1625. Mine is 25XX. Please let me know. Thanks

Don’t, I was in Livingston in the beginning of this month for an exam I took in 2017 and there was a guy getting sworn in from this exam for the 11/07 class, when I asked him how long ago he took the exam he said October 9th, 2021.
