1st how will I know before hand about it...if is the 1st time someone ever ask me that? And 2nd google sleep doctor exam near me. Lol. 😂 the slip says "show it to your doctor." I'm just going with the process. Is annoying yes...
Maybe I wasnt clear. My question should have been stated as follows. If you are scheduled for the medical and let’s just say you may have some of the risk factors associated with sleep apnea do you think you can avoid the medical hold had if the sleep exam was taken before your medical? I’m asking for myself or if you may have heard of someone doing that. If you don’t know cool. I was not sure if they were doing something new by making you see a sleep doctor that they will refer you to or having you pick one. Which was why I asked. I have one already lined up but thank you for the Google reference. Good luck to you during your process.

For a Sleep test ....nope. Their doctor will have to determine that and will give you a slip of what they looking for. Is just time consuming yes, but go with what they tell you.
Physical consist in Electrocardiogram, vision and hearing. So get those glasses check.
Also I'm on "Medical Hold" until I pass.
So will they send you to a doctor or will you have to find your own? Becoz if you know when the medical is, you couldn’t do it before hand and give them a clearance letter?

sorry but what does “DL” and postal money order mean?
I guess I’ll just give them 90.00 even and call it even. Is that okay?
DL is Drivers License. Misslo is saying when you purchase a money order it can only be purchased at the Unites States Post Office (any one of them) for 88.25. At the post office they will charge you a fee of $1.45. So when you go be prepared to spend 89.70 at the Post Office. Then bring that money order in when it time to Transit.

Guys. Please dont go down there and bother them with silly questions about list number(THEY KNOW THEYLL FIND IT BEFORE YOU REACH ZEREGA). As someone who has been the process and know what it's like. ( no im not a bus operator as yet)
Fill out the application properly. (fillable pdf).
If you are going to write the application use blue ink. it says blue or black but i used blue. especially when youre filling out the "pension form"
GATHER YOUR PASSPORT, SS CARD, CDL OR CDL PERMIT. AND DL AND POSTAL MO 0F $88.25 (FEE IS $1.45)$89.70 DEBIT OR CASH(EXACT CHANGE) PLEASE TO LEAVE BLANK. AND ALWAYS CARRY YOUR APPLICATION FOR EACH TIME THEY CALL YOU IN. (THEY LOSE PAPERS ALL THE TIME). SHOULD BE IN A FOLDER SO YOU DONT LOSE IT.
ONLY PEOPLE WHO MAY HAVE A HINDERANCE ARE THE PEOPLE WITH TRAFFIC TICKETS /POINTS AND OR MEDICAL ISSUES. OR THOSE WHO CANT READ AND COMPREHEND
Why would that be silly if your number could have been passed ? Kennedy friend asked and found out their number was passed. So these things happen. Had they not have asked he would have been waiting more longer than if the question wasn’t asked. In any event appreciate the additional information you provided.

Where you able to get it right away or did they have to mail it to you?
They printed it out right there in person. The form of payment is a money order. Make sure you make an appointment in your zip code. They are sticklers about that.

It depends on who you get their attitude, your attitude and if you have it all together. I haven’t had a problem.
I am a little annoyed though right now because for some reason whenever I ask what number they are up to, no one give me a straight answer. I don’t understand why they are keeping this info hostage. I have asked on the phone and in person. They go to the back and whoever is back there won’t give specific info. It’s response like the list just started or oh you are close.

Is it hard dealing with HR at the MTA? Do they try to make things difficult or do they work with you?

TA will be a better shot. You have more options in Depots and if there was to lay off operators, they’ll have to find a civil service position for you. That’s what we were told in class.
Just curious when you pass the medical, when do you get your pass and when do you get your badge? Like what is that day of final processing like?

100 people for the rest of the year? And what about those us that are waiting for a reschedule????
I think he said 100 people every two weeks and keep that hiring pattern up for the rest of the year. So essentially 200 people a month.

Part time? What exam number is that?
It’s 1301. I’m definitely going for the full time. But I was going through the motions because part time called me first.

Good night. Everything going smoothly for you?
Good night. All is well. I’m waiting on the medical for the part time list and scheduled for the drug test for the 2302 exam. When do you take your driving exam? I’m happy you finally got on with all the delays. Do you know any of the list numbers of people in your class? Just to give a clue where they are at in the hiring process.

Ok so on 1/31 I went down to Livingston Street to take the drug test again for the P/T BO exam 1301. I have to go back down to Livingston in 2 weeks to do the drug test for 2302 as well. I realize I may have to do the paperwork over, but can they use my drug test from another exam title and apply it to this one. If anyone has had a similar experience or any info I would appreciate it. If I can avoid a chaotic all day affair like the one I had on the 31st it would be awesome.

I still don’t know if I should put a job that I got fired from before I left HS.
They ask you to go back until your 18 or right after high school so if it’s before that time you can leave it out.

What? You should’ve asked them what is your list number and what number they’re up too. In class they told us they’re hiring 100 Bus Operators every 2 weeks until the end of the year.
Congrats Kennedy!! How is class going so far?

How far back back does the MTA look at your employment history. I can’t remember exact dates from 20 years ago lol.
All the way back to H.S. I couldn’t remember the dates either. I got a printout from Social Security office. It was 92.00.

My friend went for second drug test and the lady give him back the second application. Seems like they’re prepping you for the next class after this Sunday class.
Thank you! I truly hope so. I got the email, phone call, text combo today.

For anyone who had to go back down to 180 Livingston after the first drug test has expired. Did you have to fill out the employment application again or did they just refer to the previous one you brought the first time? I’m going down on Monday so I’m curious to know.

Good afternoon I hope all went well with the medical? Did they mention anything about the 3/13 class being canceled?
