There's no way these sleep apnea places aren't a damn money grab. How does the sleep tech tell me i shouldn't have anything to worry about, the nurse last week said it was mild but then i speak to the doctor tonight and now all of a sudden it's severe. Lmao, what a scam.

Hey MailManMike here. So what are your next steps?

Mailman nothing 100 precent when it comes to transit. They can always change the date or cancel further notice. All I know because my friend in the class now they try to fill staten island. Since we all TA and they need to open another class. Educated guess transit might wait little extra see how it goes with class start on 26th how many survive or decide to leave. When I got hired class room was about 80 students and survive maybe 40 and after line training maybe 30. Now since covid I don't know how many students on classroom. Smaller the head count more classes they will open.

Gotcha. Thank you Operator. Good luck to you my friend!

You can only work in Staten Island if you’re TA. However I suggest take which ever position calls first. Do the training and start working until TA calls and then crossover.

Hey MailManMike here. Understood! Thank you. I'm really in no position to travel all the way to The Bronx or Queens for work because I have no personal vehicle. I'll see what happens. Thank you friend.

NYCTA is a civil service position and part of the Nycers pension plan. You can work out of any borough, however if you pick Staten Island you’re stuck on the island. If you pick queens you’re stuck at that depot for your career.

OA is not civil servant but you can work out of Manhattan, Bronx and Brooklyn. No Queens or Staten Island.

MTA Bus is a consolidation of the private bus companies. You can work out of certain queens and Bronx depots or maybe Spring Creek in Brooklyn.

Hey MailManMike here. If I want to work on Staten Island. Would you advise I wait for TA to call?

It’s definitely for Bus Operators. I’m not sure if it’s off 2611. But it’s definitely for Bus Operators.

Hey MailManMike here. I wouldn’t be surprised. The whole hiring system seems to be backwards. If the class before this new one was candidates off Exam #2611. Wouldn’t logic assume the next class should also have candidates off of Exam #2611? Instead of them hiring off of a completely different exam?

  6. Hey everyone. This question is more geared towards the people on this forum that went through the entire training process. At what point during the hiring process do they ask for your Covid vaccine card? I lost mine am currently trying to get a new one with CVS. I am currently working on receiving another one but I'm not sure when I'd receive it and don't want to miss out on the possible February class. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
