Hey. I didn't have to take an exam for this position. I don't want to say which position or department I was hired into.

Yep, I got a start date. I spoke with the team after accepting the offer and we agreed on a date. Very reasonable people.

Hi everybody,

I recently accepted an office job within the MTA. I am still yet to take the pre employment drug test. But I am feeling confident because I haven’t smoked in over two months and am passing my at home tests.

With that being said, is it safe to resume my habit once I pass the pre employment test? I will be working as an analyst in an office, so I’m not sure if I qualify for random tests.  
 

Any experience or advice would be awesome! Pot is my vice of choice. I could go without, but I would prefer to indulge myself.

Thanks, "thinklikeamango". I'm a little frustrated they test for weed even though it's not a safety sensitive job. I can only hope there is a large delay between now and the test.

I have an interview for next week with the MTA. If I get past that, does anybody know when I would be scheduled to do the drug test? Does the MTA even drug test for weed if it's an office-based job?

I am interested and qualified for an MTA job. I actually interviewed for this same position but didn’t get the job maybe 3-4 years ago.

I saw this same job had an opening. I applied to this and several others around the same time. The job I am qualified for has its status change to “in process”, while the other jobs I applied to still have their status as “submitted”. Is this a good sign?
