Back again . I’ve been applying to office /admin positions since January , and declined from many / no update from others . (Analyst , customer service specialist , testing specialist, etc )
How crucial would you (those in admin positions /HR) say a cover letter is? For the most part I’ve just been doing resume since I’ve applied to 100+ and very rarely have I uploaded a cover letter . Does this play a heavy Role?

Hey quick question and I don’t even see a section for this . Does anyone work in payroll on here ? I have a person whomst I’m not too fond of who does payroll here and I just want to know what person information if mine they’d have access to ? They aren’t my liaison but if they wanted to would they be able to find detrimental information about me regarding home , salary etc ? Or do they just have access to specific staff members assigned to them . Just my luck 😒

Analysts can work in any of those capacities. Location is where you the offer for. When a department needs an analyst, you apply specifically for that job/location. Its not an universal job posting like the operating titles. Depends on which vacancy you got the offer for. Was enjoyable initially, but once you get top pay as an Analyst it can be a dead end unless youre in the right place at the right time. The only advancement is getting a Supervisor/Manager job. Days are Monday thru Friday...bankers hours. Most Analysts dont see any OT. Im a part of the OSA Analysts. I think they have it better than the Transit Analysts (ATMAs) they are trying to fill all of the newbies with. Its cheaper for the MTA to hire ATMAs.
Great that you mentioned this as that’s the exact position I’m trying to get into (transit analyst) …the lack of ot will be a loss for me as I’m in another city agency that’s 24hrs and there’s an abundance of ot /no cap but I’d like an office environment and day hours .
Why do you think it’s cheaper to hire atma’s ? Also what’s the abbreviation for OSA ?
